Activities for kids
As well as the main adult and youth races, there are races and activities throughout the afternoon for younger children too!
Spud’n’spoon races
For children aged 9 & under @ approx 12.40pm
Registration 10.00-11.30 at the Village Hall
6-9 year olds start at the Village Hall
Under 6s start at the bottom of Sand Road
Entry fee £5.
Goodie bags for all who finish (there are limited spaces available so it is important to pre-book)!
There will be refreshments and a balloon modeller at the Village Hall before the Spud & Spoon races start. There will also be official merchandise for sale in both adults and children's sizes.
Tatties in a bucket
In previous years we have run a competition to see who can grow the most (heaviest amount of) potatoes in a bucket.
The competition is taking a break this year (or should we say - lying fallow?) but watch this space for 2025.
Attractions at the finish line
There is even fun to be had after the main races have finished! In the grounds of The White Hart there will be stalls, ice cream, bouncy castle and more!
